Joy is a ‘rully nice gurl frum Texus, ya’ll.’ Her playful spirit, physical comedy and self-deprecating humor allow audiences to appreciate their own idiosyncrasies and laugh at themselves. FACT: Joy is the daughter of a former nun and former monk. Don’t worry, her parents left the church before they married and had kids…then got divorced…then became hippies…then drove her to become a comic.

Before ending up at the University of Texas in Austin, Joy attended five different colleges. “I found out if I do a semester at your college I get a free green burrito!" After school, she moved to the land of swimming pools and movie stars where she had an allergic reaction to people with botox and attitudes. Joy quickly found a cure: making witty observations about human behavior and crafting them into jokes on stage.

Joy currently lives in Los Angeles where she works as an actor, writer and director. She tours stand-up half-way around the world, including, Canada, the United Kingdom and even Africa.
